How We Research Our Guides and Prices
Our Las Cruces yard guides and price ranges are meant to help you make decisions, whether or not you hire us. Here’s where our information comes from, how we set price ranges, how often we update pages, and how to tell us when something is wrong.

Our standard
What sources do you use for your guides?
We start with local and official sources: NMSU Cooperative Extension guides, the City of Las Cruces and Las Cruces Utilities, the National Weather Service, the New Mexico Office of the State Engineer, and other university Extension services. We name the main source on each guide.
When a question has no local source, we use national references and say so, and we avoid stating guesses as facts.

Prices
How do you set the price ranges on this site?
Our price ranges combine published national cost guides with Las Cruces conditions such as base prep, rock prices, caliche and access. They are typical ranges, not quotes. Your price depends on your yard, and every job gets a written, itemized estimate before work starts.
Ranges, not promises
A range shows what most similar jobs cost. Unusual yards can fall outside it.
Examples are illustrations
Example projects show how costs add up. They are labeled and are not client stories.
Consistent across pages
The same service uses the same range on every page it appears.
Honesty
What won’t you publish?
We don’t publish fake reviews, invented testimonials, made-up credentials or stock photos passed off as our projects. We only show reviews from real customers, label example projects as examples, and say plainly when a rule or program could change.
1
Real reviews only
Reviews come from real customers; we never pay for or write them.
2
Labeled examples
Sample projects and prices are marked as illustrations.
3
No invented facts
If we can’t verify a claim, we don’t make it.
4
Rules can change
We date our guides and point you to the official source.
5
Not legal advice
HOA, permit and law topics are general information.
Updates
How often are guides updated?
Each guide shows the month it was last updated. We review prices and City rules at least once a year and update pages sooner when a rule, program or price changes. Seasonal guides, like monsoon prep and winterizing, are checked before each season.

Review
Who reviews the guides on this site?
Guides are reviewed by the Las Cruces Landscaping Group editorial team for accuracy and local relevance. Claims about water, plants and local rules are cross-checked against NMSU Extension, the City of Las Cruces and New Mexico agencies. We never name an outside reviewer unless that person actually reviewed the page.
